This pattern provides the opportunity for so much creativity. Faeries can be made in every color of the rainbow and placed in every corner of your home. Little delights for guests to spot here and there. They can also be made child safe to share your love of the fae and/or doll collecting with the youngsters.
This pattern is in American English.
Print at 100% scale on Letter or A4 paper
There are 2 PDFs: The first, for doll, wigs and wings is 34 pages. The second, for clothes, is 14 pages.
The Faerie pattern contains comprehensive instructions and photographs for making a felt doll with an optional pipe cleaner skeleton and two methods for wigs, (or you can purchase a wig) and tulle wings. The clothing pattern includes comprehensive instructions and photographs for making a felt vest, tulle or cotton skirt, cotton shorts and felt shoes.
I recommend using wool felt for the doll. There are 3 pieces for the head, 4 for the body and a single piece for each of the limbs, to give you an idea of the complexity.
Skills needed, basic sewing, (some experience making small dolls and/or animals)
Basic embroidery such as satin stitch and chain stitch.
There is a crochet option for one of the wigs. Both wigs employ wool yarn.
As always, please contact me with any questions you may have.
Happy crafting!!
